The wave... It's for a purpose!

...but now I forbear lest any man should think of me above that which he sees me to be or that he hears of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12: 6 -9

At times in life we face challenges and we are quick to ask the most common question; Why me? not knowing what God is putting together on our behalf. Should God just allow us to see beyond what we are counting as problems some of us would instead prefer to stay put and enjoy whatever our present situation brings either as a result of the evil we have seen lurking there in the future if in a hurry or as a result of the unprecedented joy awaiting us immediately after the trial.

Apostle Paul was such a vibrant and devoted minister of the Gospel yet there was a thorn in his flesh. Well, as human we might  think or ask why should God made it so? why should God allow the messenger of Satan to buffet him? To answer this question, we must first know that only God knows the ending of a thing from the beginning therefrom. Perchance, Paul could have been sifted away through what I called "the too much exaltation from men" which might have led to pride and thus missed his ultimate goal "verse  7 says; And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh..." One thing is sure God can never test anyone with evil neither can He be tested with it too but sometimes in life He uses what is not humanly convenient to bring out conveniency (his glory) in us. He uses setback to sets our lacks back and thus sets us forward.

What you are going through is not just happening to you it is happening for you! It is with it God's grace is being multiplied in you and for you, it is with it strength is being perfected. The bible says; many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him from ALL (Psalms 34:19). Do not run from the waves of life, approach and embrace it with fervent prayer and thanksgiving knowing fully well that through them are the power of Christ being manifested in you.

Remember, even waves do come to equilibrium at times, recede or stop... Don't be tired, relish every moment!

You will win!

....... That I may know Him and the power of his resurrection... Philippians 3:10
